What a week! Or rather 2 weeks. Or maybe I should just say what a life.

While I am slowly getting better, its still been a struggle. We had some bad thunderstorms a week ago. And one thing I discovered about my illness is its about 100 times worse in the rain. The pain is horrible! I think I spent 3 days straight in bed.

Thankfully this week we've had warm days and sunshine. So I'm out and about more. I'm also doing something different in my diet, and that seems to help. Sorry if this is TMI!

Yesterday we had quite the adventure. Malia woke up not breathing. She was making strange crying noises in her sleep. Mom woke her up and she was unable to breath right. We called 911 (seems to be a regular occurance in our house *rolls eyes*).

The paramedics came, gave Mali oxygen and took her and mom to the ER. Dad met them there. Needless to say we were all pretty frightened.

Turns out Malia had a night terror. A really bad dream in which she could not wake up. Our first mistake was to wake her up. That caused her to panic, which in turn made it impossible for her to catch her breath.

She came home with a clean bill of health, and she got to keep her oxygen mask. We were all thankful, praising Jesus! Micah didn't leave her side for the rest of the day.

Well, Labor Day is this weekend. Officially marking the end of 'summer' and the beginning of 'autumn'. Crisp cool air, harvest, multi-colored leaves... mmmm exciting times.

It has been a long time I know. But don't say I didn't warn ya! Moving is a lot of work, and on top of it all I have been sick for about six weeks now. No fun.

Our trip down here was eventful, as things usually are when my family is concerned. From a blown tire on a horse trailer, to being used as a pillow as we drove through the night...pure craziness. But we did finally arrive safely.

Unloading went a lot faster then loading. A bunch of the faculty from my dad's school came to help. Even with a huge rain shower in the middle we still made good time. I ended up sleeping through most of it. I was soooo tired!

We got our garden in, despite several set backs, including having to buy a new roto-tiller. As long as we get a late frost we should get a good harvest.

Ahh yeah, being sick. We hadn't even been here a week, and my headaches got unmanagable. Then I started running a fever, and my throat was sore, and my joints hurt. We thought for sure that it was a relapse of the rheumatic fever that I had last year. Well after countless doctor visits, practically a gallon of blood drawn (not quite but it seems like it!) an ultrasound of my heart and five perscriptions later we were and are no closer to an answer.

It is beginning to look like I may have lymes disease, since this hardly shows up on blood tests anymore. Since the antibiotics had no effect we are trying a more natural route, and while it seems to be working, I still have a long way to go until I am better.

The pain in my hands is less, so doing website work is now easier. And considering all the time I have on my hands you should start seeing more updates more frequently.

Thanks for stopping by friends! You are all the best!

my faithful visitors

I know it has been ever so long since I've graced this site with my presence. Over an entire month has past! But what a month it has been. I guess the biggest news is that we are moving!!!! YEAH!!!!

Wouldn't think I'd be so excited, and truth is, it will be sad to leave my home, friends, and church here in North Minnesota, but I totally feel God's tug on this. Its His plan for my family

Um, so where are we moving? Good question! My dad got a new job as Assistant Professor of Computer Science at a Christian College in Missouri! So... thats where we are moving!

God has provided amazingly for my family, I guess we really shouldn't be amazed by God's faithfulness, but still I am. I am so grateful, for He has paved the way for us to move and taken care of every detail.

Moving day is next Monday, so you can bet it may be quite a little bit before you hear from me again, I hope you don't mind! I have so much more stuff I want to put on this site! Hopefully before summer is out you will get to see some of it.

I've got a new story in the works, plus some new chapters for one of my stories thats already up. Plenty of new photo albums are coming. Plus... I've had this brainstorm for several other pages for this site: A Narnia page, A Princess Bride Page, Favorite quotes page... just to name a few. I am also putting together a "scrapbook" of sorts of my highschool days.

Ahh, yes, the good ole highschool days. I'm kinda missing those days! Jeremy just graduated, so I think that brought me right back to my graduation and the friends and good times I had then. I don't know how many of my good ole buddies still check out my site, but for those that do,you can expect soon to see you face gracing my website (kudos to Amber! love ya, and you can expect an email from me soon! love ya to pieces)

Will, you look at the time, midnight is fast approaching, and tomorrow is another full crazy day of packing. So I must be signing off.

Ciao mi ami... much love my friends

Hey there,

I know its been quite a while since I updated here. Life has been a whirl wind these past few weeks. I got a job! I am working at Bergeson Nursery, a gardening center only a mile south of us. I am having a wonderful time there. My coworkers jokingly call me "Perennial Lady" or "Perennial Location Expert" because I (almost single handedly) put together the perennial green house. Lot of work, but so much fun. Being around all the flowers is so uplifiting, and beautiful.

We celebrated Hayley's Heaven's day on Sunday. Its been five years since she went home to Jesus. I still miss her a lot. We had a cookout, roasted hot dogs and marshmellows over the bonfire. We played croquet (I love that game!) and let balloons go. It was a beautiful day.

Well, my spare moments to work on this site have become fewer and fewer as we get busier here at the "farm". I hope you enjoy some of this weeks updates though!

Abundant Blessings,

Lindsay Renee

Dear Friends,

I've spent the week working in my foster Grandma's office, while she was out of town. I call her my foster Grandma because she calls us her foster family. She has adopted us as her grandchildren, its so much fun to have her.

So, I've been working in her office, all by myself for 9 hours a day this week. Needless to say, all her files are now very well organized! Working here has given me lots of time to think. Just ask my family. When I'm home at night I'm spouting off some of the strangest things.

Like last night, I decided the animal I am most like is a bear. Why? Because I love honey, berries, fish, and sleeping! I know, not really that brilliant, but at the time I thought it was really funny!

Wanna good laugh? You have to check out this Lord of the Rings Parody of the song "Under the Sea" from Little Mermaid, called "Let Arwen Be" I laughed so hard when I read it, I had tears in my eyes!

Best wishes,

Lindsay

Hola Amigos

Well, spring has finally made its appearance! And I am happier for it!

I just finished directing an Easter Musical at my church. Let me tell you friends, it was amazing. I have never had so much fun in my whole life. Yes, it certianly was stressful, but I loved it. The show turned out great. All my prayers were answered. God moved and people were touched.

Hopefully I can post some pictures from the show soon. First I need to find someone who had a working camera that night! Ours ran out of batteries! :(

Well, farm life is crazy come spring. We are busily planning our garden. Our goose, Kemer, is sitting on a clutch of eggs that should hatch soon. Our rabbit Rosie is about to have bunnies, and our Goat Willow is pretty pregnant herself! Exciting times coming!

Blessings,

Lindsay
